Evans is a native Charlestonian, licensed tour guide, and has 30 years experience as a radio announcer. He's a local boy with roots going back over 200 years in the Charleston area, and he has a passion for the history, culture, flora and fauna, wildlife, and food of the South Carolina "Lowcountry."

Most days you can find him on the streets of Charleston giving tours for Peninsula Walking Tours. It's like walking with the mayor, because of his connection to the neighborhoods. There isn't a person, or dog for that matter, that he doesn't know or stop and greet.
